OUTWOD is the first and only organization to host a CrossFit competition for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendered (LGBT) athletes and their allies in the Los Angeles area. CrossFit espouses itself as an inclusive sport, committed to improving human movements while building community.
OUTWOD hopes to promote that belief by offering an arena for LGBT CrossFit athletes (and their allies) to come together from across the LA region to compete, meet each other, and build a stronger community.
Since 2011, OUTWOD has raised over $50,000.00 for LGBT charities nationwide.

OUTWOD is a social event. There will be two partner WODs. Partners should be around the same capabilities.
The WOD is inclusive. Even if you're new to CrossFit, you should join us for this event. We encourage you to have fun. Movements will not be released before the event, but rest assured everything is scalable. You will indicate at event check-in if your team decides to RX or scale the WOD.
Sock-o-licious! All athletes will receive fabulous socks from Pride Socks!
Medals will be given to top finishers in both our RX and scaled divisions.
Where do the proceeds go?
Thank you for your donation and participation! Proceeds from this event will go to buildOn. Not only does buildOn foster an inclusive community within the schools they build and support, but their students participate in Project Open Hand (delivering meals to people living with HIV/AIDS), Rainbow World Fund (a Tree of Hope holiday activity), LGBT advocacy, World AIDS Day, and anti-bullying advocacy within schools.
